Carbon
There are seven main Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) that contribute to climate change. Different activities emit different gases and for each activity there is a factor that we can use to estimate emissions of all relevant GHGs combined. This is called the carbon dioxide equivalent, written CO2e per unit of activity. This CO2 equivalent is widely used in carbon inventories to account for all the impact of all GHGs, not just carbon.
We can support you to develop or verify your carbon inventory, accounting for kg or tonnes of CO2e.
